AXAA’s membership represents a broad spectrum of the community associated with X-ray and other scattering techniques of analyses, and is perhaps the only such association to represent these techniques across industry, university and institute based research, and the companies responsible for manufacturing the components of and further developing these analysis tools. As an AXAA member since 2002, I have seen the commitment of the association to not only enriching existing communities through events that promote information exchange between the different facets of the AXAA community, but to developing the future community by investing in young researcher events and education.
Elected President in 2008, I am proud to be a part of AXAA as it evolves to represent a community encompassing the wider variety of modern scattering techniques that exist today, and look forward to the exciting future of this community.
