Continuing the long tradition of successful AXAA schools, advanced workshops, conferences and exhibition events, and following AXAA 2008, we are pleased to announce AXAA 2011 at Darling Harbour in Sydney.  The event is an opportunity for those working and researching in the fields of laboratory X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, and in synchrotron, neutron, and other complementary scattering techniques, to join their colleagues in stimulating discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking.

The meeting will showcase recent scientific results and exciting new developments in related instrumentation, software, and techniques of analysis. The focus will be on advances in both industrial and fundamental research, particularly those achieved though new developments in techniques. We welcome attendees from across academia and industry, with a special invitation (including financial support) to students.

The conference will consist of two days for workshops designed for novice users of scattering techniques of analysis, three days of conference presentations and plenary lectures, and an optional tour of the new OPAL neutron scattering facility on the final day.
